Gladwin County Money Program

The Gladwin County Money is a Chamber of Commerce program designed to help shoppers “shop local”, keeping the monies they spend in Gladwin County.

Gift certificates in denomination of $5, $10, and $25 are available at the Chamber offices. The certificates are good only at participating Chamber member businesses (see list). Anyone can buy these gift certificates that are great for presents for family and friends on all occasions.

For participating businesses, the program increases revenue and brings shoppers into their stores. Businesses also buy these certificates as rewards for employees and for family and friends. This continues to be one of the Chamber’s most popular and valuable programs.

projectlogoPick 3! Spend 50! Save your local economy!

What 3 independently owned businesses would you miss if they disappeared? Stop in. Say hello. Pick up something that brings a smile. Your purchases are what keeps those businesses around.

If half the employed population spent $50 each month in locallyowned independent businesses, it would generate more than$42.6 billion in revenue nationally. Imagine the positive impact if 3/4 the employed population did that.

For every $100 spent in locally owned independent businesses, $68 returns to the community through taxes, payroll and other expenditures. If you spend that in a national chain, only $43 stays here; spend it online and nothing comes home.

It takes 1 person to start the trend - YOU!!!
